⭐ Your mission: building the convergence between Alan and Tanel

You will play a central role in the gradual convergence of Alan and Tanel’s products and technologies.

The goal will be to preserve the best of both organisations: Tanel’s deep knowledge of the West African market, operational expertise and local relationships, together with Alan’s powerful platform, product practices and international experience.

You will contribute to:

• Bringing together the product experiences and technology foundations of both companies.

• Building reusable components and systems that can meet the specific needs of local markets.

• Evolving our tools to support the growth of our product and operations.

• Simplifying and automating processes that are currently managed manually.

• Improving the flow and reliability of data between teams and systems.

• Finding the right balance between global standardisation and adapting to the realities of Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire.

• Laying the technical foundations for our medium-term expansion into new West African markets.

Is this you?

We are looking for a Software Engineer with at least 4 years of experience, who is able to contribute to ambitious projects in a fast-changing environment.

You will be particularly well suited to this role if you:

• Speak fluent French and English

• Are legally authorised to work in Senegal and are based in Dakar, or are willing to relocate there.

• Have at least four years of experience as a Software Engineer. We are hiring at different levels of seniority, so senior profiles are very welcome.

• Are proficient in a programming language such as Python, Java, C# or an equivalent language.

• Are comfortable with modern web technologies and interested in working on full-stack applications.

• Have experience designing robust, maintainable and scalable systems.

• Are interested in product-related challenges and enjoy understanding user needs.

• Are autonomous, pragmatic and able to make decisions.

• Enjoy working as part of a team and collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.

• Are comfortable working in an environment where priorities can change quickly.

• Are eager to help build an ambitious local technology organisation.

Experience in insurance, healthcare, fintech, payment systems, operations or regulated environments would be an advantage. However, it is not essential.
