Senior Director - Channel Sales

Job Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven VP of Business Development – Channel Sales to drive growth through strategic partnerships and sales channels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing channel partners, ensuring they are equipped to describe our offering effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of sales strategies, partner management, and business development within the US market.

Key Responsibilities:

Channel Partner Development & Management

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners to expand market reach.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, ensuring engagement and alignment with business goals.
  • Train and support partners on product offerings, sales processes, and market positioning.

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Drive revenue growth through channel partnerships by setting and achieving sales targets.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop joint business plans and go-to-market strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze partner performance, providing guidance to optimize sales outcomes.
  • Be the main point of contact for channel partners to facilitate sales assistance, demonstrations and ongoing support.

Market Expansion & Strategy

  • Research and identify new business opportunities within the channel ecosystem.
  • Work closely with internal teams (marketing, sales, and product) to create programs that support partner success.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts to refine strategies.

Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Track, analyze, and report on key sales and partnership metrics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance channel performance.
  • Ensure compliance with sales policies, pricing structures, and contractual agreements.

  • Emotional Intelligence: Exhibits self awareness of how they impact their team and other stakeholders they work with. Able to recognize their areas of improvement, identify their strengths, and see their own limitations.
  • Business Acumen: Entrepreneurial mindset, helps to shape functional area goals, constantly learning. Shows an interest in learning how other functional areas within the organization operate and identifies ways to collaborate more effectively cross-functionally.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: 10+ years of sales experience; 5+ years of experience in channel sales, business development, or partnership management.
  • Industry Expertise: Wealth management financial technology channel experience required.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving channel growth.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop data-driven strategies.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and partner management platforms.
  • Developed network of contacts preferred.
