About d1g1t

d1g1t is an institutional-grade enterprise wealth management platform built for financial advisors, multi-family offices, broker-dealers, and bank advisor networks. The platform replaces fragmented legacy systems with a unified solution for portfolio management, advanced analytics, risk management, reporting, and operational workflows across the wealth advisory lifecycle.

More than a reporting platform, d1g1t gives client-facing advisors, back-office teams, and senior leadership the real-time tools and intelligence they need to manage complex portfolios, improve operational efficiency, and make better decisions. We are headquartered in Toronto and led by an experienced financial technology team with a track record of building enterprise risk and portfolio management systems for leading investment banks, wealth managers, hedge funds, and regulators globally.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineer to join our Client Reports team. In this role, you will design, develop, integrate, and maintain high-quality, pixel-perfect financial reports that are delivered to clients as PDF-printable reporting outputs.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of software engineering, business intelligence, financial data, and client-facing quality. You will work with Microsoft SSRS, Visual Studio RDLs, PostgreSQL, Python, and d1g1t’s REST APIs to build reliable reporting solutions that help wealth managers and their clients understand investment portfolios, portfolio performance, operational activity, and financial outcomes.

You will report to the Reports Development Manager and work closely with colleagues across Client Reports, engineering, implementation, and client-facing teams to ensure reports are accurate, scalable, configurable, and aligned with client needs. You will approach varied technical challenges with a problem-solving mindset, develop practical solutions with increasing independence, and contribute to improvements in reporting architecture, QA, and team workflows.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, integrate, and maintain scalable, PDF-printable financial reports using Microsoft SSRS, Visual Studio, and RDL-based reporting workflows.
  • Build flexible and configurable reports that are pixel-perfect, highly accurate, and suitable for client-facing financial and portfolio reporting use cases.
  • Write efficient SQL queries, functions, and procedures to retrieve, load, and process data from PostgreSQL.
  • Analyze reporting workflows, information-system processes, and data flows to identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Write Python scripts to automate repetitive reporting, validation, or operational tasks.
  • Interact with d1g1t’s REST APIs to generate, retrieve, and validate financial performance metrics.
  • Deploy, test, QA, and troubleshoot report changes and enhancements to ensure accuracy, reliability, layout quality, and functionality across client environments.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues across data retrieval, report rendering, PDF output, formatting, calculations, and client-specific configurations.
  • Suggest, build, and implement enhancements to reporting architecture, configuration patterns, QA processes, and internal workflows to improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into practical, maintainable reporting solutions.
  • Contribute to documentation and repeatable practices that improve the quality and scalability of d1g1t’s client reporting function.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3-7 years of professional experience in software development, business-intelligence reporting, data reporting, or a related technical role.
  • Hands-on experience building pixel-perfect paginated reports using SSRS, Visual Studio, RDLs, or a closely related reporting technology, with the ability to demonstrate technical crossover into SSRS/RDL-based report development.
  • Strong SQL skills, including experience writing queries, functions, or procedures for relational databases.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL or a strong foundation in relational database concepts with the ability to ramp into PostgreSQL quickly.
  • Experience using Python to automate repetitive tasks, manipulate data, or support reporting workflows.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and the ability to work with API-driven data or metrics.
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-control mindset, especially when working with financial data, report formatting, and PDF outputs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data, layout, rendering, and performance issues in complex reporting environments.
  • Proven problem-solving ability and aptitude for quickly learning, improving, and supporting complex systems.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently while knowing when to align with the broader team.
  • Comfort contributing ideas, challenging assumptions, and communicating directly and professionally within a collaborative team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in wealth management, portfolio reporting, investment reporting, financial performance reporting, or another financial-services reporting environment.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting concepts, investment terminology, portfolio data, or performance reporting workflows.
  • Experience validating financial calculations, performance metrics, portfolio data, or client-facing reporting outputs.
  • Experience working with client-specific report configurations or multi-tenant reporting workflows.

Perks of Working at d1g1t

  • Competitive compensation package with bonus eligibility and comprehensive healthcare benefits.
