Senior Product Designer
League
Founded in 2014, League is the leading healthcare consumer experience (CX) platform, powered by artificial intelligence (AI), reaching more than 63 million people around the world and delivering the highest level of personalization in the industry. Payers, providers, and consumer health partners build on League’s platform to deliver high-engagement healthcare solutions proven to improve health outcomes. League has raised over $285 million in venture capital funding to date, powering the digital experiences for some of healthcare’s most trusted brands, including Highmark Health, Manulife, Medibank, and Shoppers Drug Mart.
Position Summary:
We’re hiring a mission-driven, experienced designer to join our Client Solutions Design Team. As a Senior Product Designer, you will act as the strategic bridge between League’s platform capabilities and the digital ambitions of our healthcare partners. This is a high-visibility, consultative role where you are as much a facilitator and storyteller as you are a product designer.
You won’t just be designing interfaces, you will be navigating the "messy middle" of the healthcare landscape: leading workshops, translating complex business requirements into elegant user journeys, and persuading executive stakeholders of the value of human-centric design.
What you will do
- Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, articulating design strategy and UX best practices. You will translate the long-term vision of their digital ecosystem into experiences that align with League’s platform capabilities and design system.
- Own the full design continuum, from high-level IA and user flows to interactive prototypes and high-fidelity artifacts. You’ll ensure every deliverable is grounded in product and user goals, leverages League’s design system, and successfully communicates the solution to product, engineering, and client stakeholders.
- Partner with the design research team to plan and conduct research that will improve our understanding of the client’s target user and/or market in order to develop a more effective solution and, in later stages of the process, to evaluate the success of designs.
- Collaborate daily with product managers, engineers, and client stakeholders to navigate technical constraints and iterate on solutions, ensuring the "designed" vision survives the realities of implementation and QA.
- Contribute to the evolution of League’s internal design systems and capabilities. You’ll identify when a client’s unique need represents a broader opportunity for platform scalability, ensuring our design language remains consistent yet flexible.
- Security-related responsibilities:
- Compliance with Information Security Policies
- Ensure access management is performed in compliance with the employee's role and responsibilities
- Responsibility and accountability for executing League's policies and procedures within the department/ team
- Notification of HR, Legal, Compliance & Security of any incidents, breaches or policy violations
- Compliance with Information Security Policies
What you bring
- 5+ years hands-on experience in Product Design, with a significant portion spent in client-facing, agency, or embedded professional services environments.
- Exceptional storytelling and persuasion skills. You can articulate the 'why' behind design decisions to non-design stakeholders and navigate conflicting feedback with empathy and data-driven logic.
- Passion for using design thinking to improve people’s health and overall wellness.
- Comfort operating in and navigating through ambiguous problem spaces in collaboration with cross-functional teammates.
- Strong understanding of healthcare in the US and its competitive landscape is a major plus.
