Summary

A Senior Devops engineer will manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in AWS cloud - establish configuration management, automate our infrastructure, implement continuous integration. You will use your experience in building and scaling services on AWS cloud environments to closely collaborate with technical leads to help team establish DevOps practice.

Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Implementing tools to automate the development, build, testing, integration and deployment pipelines for various applications in production environment to serve the needs of global users.
• Implementing automated provisioning of cloud infrastructure on leading providers- AWS experience mandatory
• Implementing infrastructure patterns and handling deployment at scale to identify and mitigate performance bottlenecks and scaling pitfalls.
• Implementing containerized deployment and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Using configuration management tools to deploy, configure and manage servers in a high-scale production environment.
• Monitoring and analysing server logs to identify any potential issues.
• Develop custom scripts to perform various one-off tasks.
• Setup, maintain and own CI/CD process across organization.
• Keep yourself up to date with latest DevOPs practices and tools.
• Present and communicate the deployment cloud architecture in a visual form.

Education and/or Experience

5 years of experience in AWS DevOps environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong understanding of AWS networking, load balancing and security best practices

• Experience with building and maintaining robust monitors for production systems.
• Experience with building real time insights and reports against production systems.

• Experience with CDK app-based deployments or Terraform to manage infrastructure as code (IaC).

• Hands-on experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Shell scripting, Type scripting is a must.
• Deep understanding of version control systems like Git.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience with CI/CD tools
• Experience in deploying microservices based applications using container technologies such as Kubernetes/Docker/ECS is a plus
• Experience in test automation and CI/CD using Jenkins / CircleCI / Travis
• Strong experience working in a Linux environment
• Experience with in-transit and at-rest data encryption with AWS services.
• Experience in managing proxies (Nginx, Envoy).
• Experience in managing large scale relational (MySQL, Postgresql) and NOSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB) databases

Language Skills

• Ability to speak the English language proficiently, both verbally and in writing.
