About the role:
The FP&A function at Wealthsimple is a lean, but high-impact team serving as strategic partners to our executive leadership, translating financial data and business trends into actionable insights that drive critical decision-making. As a Systems Analyst, reporting to the Director of Product, FP&A, you will lead the implementation and ongoing ownership of Pigment as FP&A’s primary forecasting and financial analysis platform, becoming Wealthsimple’s subject matter expert for everything Pigment.
In this role you'll have the opportunity to:
Be a full system owner responsible for the evolution of our internal tooling within FP&A
Design, build, and maintain financial models within Pigment to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning across the organization
Partner with the FP&A team and broader business units to adapt models as our business evolves (e.g. new product launches, feature rollouts, etc.)
Develop and maintain annual budgets and monthly re-forecasts, leveraging Pigment to streamline and enhance forecasting and analysis processes
Conduct strategic analysis across our business as you grow into broader FP&A responsibilities
Drive continuous improvement in our financial planning, analysis and forecasting processes through system optimization and automation
Skills you'll bring:
3-5 years of experience in a financial or systems role (FP&A, financial systems implementation, or business systems analysis)
Experience with Pigment is highly valued
Strong technical aptitude and experience implementing or working with other financial planning platforms (Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, or similar tools valued)
Excellent modeling skills and advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, with the ability to translate complex business logic into systematic processes
A builder mentality - you love designing solutions from scratch and optimizing systems for scale
Demonstrated ability to learn new technical platforms quickly and become the go-to expert
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
A passion for understanding the "how and why" of business processes and translating them into scalable models
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly
Collaborative approach and eagerness to work cross-functionally with business units and finance teams
Intellectual curiosity about financial planning, business strategy, and how technology can transform FP&A
